ABOUT THIS PROJECT
Some spaces are designed to impress. This one was designed to be lived in.
The Teak & Ivory Retreat is a residential bedroom project built around a single principle — that true luxury is not about excess, it is about intention. Every material selected, every detail considered, every corner designed with purpose.
This project was designed and visualized by Kanon Talukder prior to the founding of Elora Interior — representing the depth of experience and design thinking he brings to every project at our studio today.
PROJECT CONCEPT
Our approach was simple — let the materials tell the story.
Warm walnut wood finishes were carried consistently across the wardrobe panels, ceiling beams, and partition features — creating a sense of visual continuity that makes the space feel cohesive and carefully considered.
The false ceiling was designed in layers — combining recessed spotlights with soft cove lighting to create a lighting environment that shifts effortlessly between functional and atmospheric. The textured feature wall behind the bed adds depth and character without competing for attention.
A full-height custom wardrobe unit was designed to maximize storage while maintaining clean lines — ensuring the room never feels cluttered. A dedicated workspace was integrated directly into the layout, sitting naturally within the room without disrupting its flow or aesthetic.
THE RESULT
A bedroom that does not simply look beautiful — it feels right to live in.
Warm, refined, and quietly sophisticated. Every element serving both function and feeling — exactly as a well-designed space should.
